Caseload: K-12th grade
Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time school psychologist for the 2023-2024 school year in Vallejo, CA. The school psychologist will work with students in K-12th grade, conducting evaluations, providing counseling and support services, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
- Provide counseling and support services to students, individually and in groups
- Develop and implement interventions and accommodations to address students' needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional success
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for student services and accommodations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, interventions, and services provided
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential with School Psychology authorization
- Experience working with students in K-12th grade
- Strong assessment and counseling skills
- Knowledge of special education law and regulations, including IDEA and Section 504
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
