Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania K-12 Music Education teaching certification preferred.
- Experience teaching music at a 4-8 grade level with a strong teaching background string pedagogy and performance.

Essential Job Functions
A strong candidate will be able to:
1. Design, teach, and conduct both small group and large group lessons with fellow team members. Lessons will cover instrumental performance; instrument care; practicing techniques; sight reading and music theory for students in grades 5-8 for the 2022-2023 school year.
2. Enrich students' playing abilities beyond their current level; and commit to the growth and development of youth.
2. Perform administrative duties (i.e. take weekly attendance, contact students' parents; provide end-of-program progress reports; set-up and tear-down classrooms in various locations; keep track of instrumental inventory at each site, etc.).
3. Participate in collaborative team planning (i.e. determining supplies needed, placement of students, etc.).
4. Have knowledge and an understanding of the PPS music curriculum (for beginning and intermediate instrumental music).
5. Provide group supervision of students with attention to behavior and group management, safety, security and skill development.
