Our Client is looking for a highly motivated and confident Support Engineer to join their team. As well as being responsible for providing outstanding customer support, the 2nd Line Support Engineer will proactively research and solve previously escalated issues with the company's operating systems and software. The successful Candidate must have proven experience of providing the same level of support. Candidates must be familiar with Linux platforms and have experience with Bash scripting and other programming languages.
- Provide second to none Second Line Support to the company’s customers.
- Responsible for the configuration and administration of applications and systems.
- Evaluate raised issues and effectively research and identify workable solutions.
- Use own initiative to solve a variety of technical problems
- Correctly identify and communicate potential risks and concerns.
- Take an active part in group troubleshooting activities.
- Provide easy to understand technical support and guidance both over via all channels.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and ensure that technical skills are consistently maintained.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of providing Second Line Support.
- Previous systems administration experience.
- Web server configuration experience is required (NGINX / Apache).
- Experience of Bash scripting and other programming languages would be highly beneficial.
- Linux administration experience is required (cloud services provision).
- MySQL and Mongo skills to build database queries.
- Exposure to SSO (admin & setup).
- Ability to troubleshoot network related issues.
- Experience with JavaScript, CSS 7 HTML would be highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of Active Directory structures.
