Machinist - CNC - 2nd shift (4 pm to 2 am)

Manpower is currently seeking candidates for a Machinist position that would like to work with a Client in the Clare MI area. $18 an hour - this position has the opportunity for hire in after 90 days.

What is the job?

• Forklift, overhead crane and hoist operation
• Set up and use machine equipment including CNC, milling, boring, drilling, tapping, threading and lathes.
• Perform periodic maintenance on all equipment in machine shops
• Read, interpret and utilize blue prints
• Follow all safety and guidelines per client specifications.
• Verify work using common measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, micrometer)
• Using jigs and fixtures to maintain consistent quality

What you bring to the job?

• Previous machine operation experience
• Forklift experience
• Experience in blueprint reading, tape measure, caliper and micrometer experience
• Steel toed shoes or boots required
• Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
