Job description
Danville School is looking for a grades 5-9 math interventionist. Through the MTSS model, this position works with the classroom teachers and EST coordinator to determine students who require intensive math intervention. At Danville, this person would collaborate with the other interventionist to provide individual, small group, push-in or pull-out services as needed. They also assist with administering assessments and data collection.Applicants must have experience teaching math, preferably an understanding of Illustrative Math; be certified to teach grades 5-9; knowledge of and experience with a variety of math programs; ability to tailor the program or approach to the needs of the students; be fluent in the use of summative and formative data to organize academic services. Applicants must be able to collaborate with colleagues, have excellent communication skills with students and adults and be comfortable communicating regularly with our parent and school community. Danville School is a preschool through Grade 12 public school located in rural Danville, Vermont. The school is the largest employer in Danville and is fortunate to have a very supportive community and school board.
The total student population is approximately 375 students with approximately one hundred staff and faculty. Danville teachers follow the Caledonia Cooperative Educational Association Collective Bargaining Agreement for salary and benefits.
