Academic Interventionist-HS

Position Start Date: August 9, 2023

Position Type: Teachers-Licensed

FTE: 1.00 - 40 Hours per week - Limited Term through 05/24/2024

Work Schedule: 186 Days

Closing Date: May 22, 2023


Summary:

Support highly impacted students that have been identified for additional support through the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) process. This individual will assist in analyzing student data in collaboration with counselors, administration, and teachers to identify students and areas of need. Provide intervention and strategies that include executive functioning, note-taking, time management, reading/writing, and mathematical support.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular communication with teachers regarding student achievement and growth, and classroom accommodations.
  • Documentation of student intervention and progress monitoring.
  • Communication with students and parents regarding feedback, areas of concern, growth, and progress updates.
  • Support students with classwork; assist with learning tools, resources, and strategies.
  • Create a welcoming, safe, inclusive learning environment where students are supported and receive intervention.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, school staff, and administration.
  • Collaborate with MTSS professionals including mental health advocates, attendance advocate, counselors, and community liaison.
  • Take a lead role in the school’s MTSS process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Currently hold a Colorado teaching license in Secondary Education Core Content Area.
  • Completed and submitted BVSD on-line application.

Preferred:

  • Experience in secondary education.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • Technological proficiency with Google Suite, Infinite Campus and Infor.

Salary Information:

Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
