Craft Academy Student Services at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time 10-month position as an Academic Services Coordinator. The anticipated start date is June 1, 2023.

RESPONSIBILITIES
: The Academic Services Coordinator will focus on retention and provide direct support to students who are experiencing academic difficulties, are on academic probation, or are otherwise in danger of academic dismissal. This will be done through academic counseling; development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized action plans; managing the current study support services; creating new study support services; and will liaison with faculty and university staff with the goal of maximizing university academic support resources. The Academic Services Coordinator will also provide academic support to all students of the Academy through coordination of current Academy academic support services and creation of new programs as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
: Master’s degree required.
PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS
: Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Social Studies or Political Science. Experience in a high school setting. College/university-level teaching experience preferred. Experience or degree in academic advising, counseling, student/career development, higher education, or related area, or in a discipline related to the job. Working knowledge of higher education and/or MSU policies and procedures that impact student success.

The working conditions do not require extraordinary physical labor and is in an office/indoor environment. This position requires good working relationships with administrators, staff, and educators. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
