Summary: Will provide support for the finance function with routine accounting duties, including supporting Senior Controller with general ledger and month end close. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Compiles, analyzes and enters monthly journal entries for the general ledger into SAP, documenting business transactions.

2. Responsible for review and preparation of monthly charges to other profit centers.

3. Supports the monthly close process.

4. Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates and significant changes, and writes narrative reports explaining findings.

5. Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.

6. Devises and implements system for general accounting.

7. Conducts studies and submits recommendations for improving the organization’s accounting operation.

8. Assists in any special accounting or administrative projects as designated by the Controller.

9. Provides backup for Accounts payable.

10. Prepares other weekly and monthly reports as required.

11. Assists in budget preparation.

12. Manages daily data of all plant transaction.

13. Capital expenditure reporting and payables.

Qualifications:

• Two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Food plant experience a plus.
• Knowledge of computer software: Prism, SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
