Bargaining Unit/Salary Range: MSEA Support Services; Level 17; Starting Salary: $20.14/hour


Job Summary:
Manages Student Account collection processes and analyzes accounts receivable subsidiary ledger on a monthly basis and provide feedback to Director and Manager of Financial Services. In addition to managing the collections process, this position will coordinate the Concurrent Enrollment billing as well as, assist the Manager of Financial Services and Director of Finance with general ledger account reconciliations for Month/Year end close. This position will also assist in the oversight of front window staff and provide relevant training regarding customer service to students. This position will recommend and develop efficiencies and customer service expectations regarding working with students as well as assist students at the front service window.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Pursue collection of all outstanding accounts of the College by monitoring outstanding debt and perform collection activities.
  • Coordinate EMCC Concurrent Enrollment billing and processes ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Assist Manager of Financial Services and the Director of Finance with account reconciliation
  • Analyze Accounts Receivable invoices and perform student account reconciliation.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance or Accounting required. Three years of experience in data entry, collections and entry level accounting required.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, filing systems, standard office practices, strong telephone skills and customer service skills.
  • Must be well versed in business office procedures and practices.
  • Strong computer skills in the area of word processing, spreadsheets and various database systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet with a diverse public.


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous work with students in a community college setting.
  • Experience using a Student Information System (SIS) or other CRM, preferably Jenzabar and/or Anthology.
