Accounting Assistant/Accountant

Shift Start Time - 08:00
Shift End Time - 04:30
Monday to Friday
SUMMARY Provides Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable support while performing a variety of secretarial duties and skilled tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Validate incoming invoices for errors and correct as needed.
Ensure internal communication regarding invoices.
Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include reviewing purchase orders and resolving discrepancies. This involves working directly with accountant.
Work closely with vendors to ensure proper recordkeeping.
Assist with accounting records and spreadsheets.
Print and reconcile any monthly account statements as received. Work with suppliers to resolve all statement errors.
Use M2M system to monitor credit limits and pull reports as needed for management from M2M that shows payments and performance data.
Process and apply cash to customer AR accounts.
Ensure old items on customer AR accounts are constantly under review.
Assist in maintaining other accounting records and participate in special data projects.
Maintain filing/scanning
REQUIREMENTS
Prefer 2+ years accounts payable or accounting experience
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines
Ability to multi-task daily
Be organized, detail oriented and produce accurate work
Must be dependable and trustworthy
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
