Job description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee all critical aspects of our accounting function in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role and should be able to manage the accounting team, as well as collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage all accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Variance reporting, and Tax
- Lead Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition activity
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with the company's financial objectives
- Manage and mentor accounting team members and ensure their professional development
- Oversee and manage the external audit process and coordinate with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings and reporting
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, provide insights and recommendations to senior management
Able to serve as Senior Staff person in High Point, NC facility. Cover letter strongly encouraged.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in an accounting
- Expert understanding of Oracle, SAP or INFOR Syteline ERP required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and other relevant regulations
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
