Job duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
- Prepares the accounts payable import batches by importing, reviewing, and posting batches in the accounting system
- Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors and internal business partners
- Maintains accuracy of vendor records and accounts
- Prepares and reviews the weekly payment run
- Processes the employee expense reports in a timely and accurate manner
- Assists in streamlining and improving the accounts payable processes
Qualifications preferred for the Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
- 2+ years of related accounting experience
- Demonstrated success with maintaining positive vendor relationships while ensuring consistently on-time and accurate payments
- Intermediate level of computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Direct experience with ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and problem solve with excellent attention to detail
