West Fraser is growing our accounting department in Germantown, TN corporate office and we are seeking an experienced:
Accounts Receivable Supervisor
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Partner with Sales and Finance to optimize A/R collections and manage customer risk
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 5 direct reports
- Review A/R agings and resolve past due transactions
- Ensure proper coverage of key department responsibilities is maintained
- Complete period-end closing responsibilities timely
- Oversee the cash application process for accuracy and timeliness
- Support corporate credit management staff to minimize past due exposure, ensure adherence to payment terms while limiting bad debt, improving sales and building customer relationships
- Ensure timely resolution of short payments, claims and adjustments
- Provide accounts receivable business process insights including metrics, data and other analytics support
- Continuously improve current process to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
- Support team goal setting and defining metrics
- Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, Certifications/Licenses:
- Associates degree in accounting or business or equivalent combination of education / experience. Bachelor’s in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Accounts receivable collections and accounting background
- Mainstream ERP and/or financial system(s) experience preferred
- Team leadership
- Understanding of the end-to-end order-to-cash process
- Thorough understanding of fundamental accounts receivable concepts, practices, and procedures
