POSITION TITLE: Adjunct Trainer-Technology (General)
REPORTS TO: Lead Trainer and Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
DATE: 08/03/2022
Rate: $30 per hour
JOB SUMMARY: Adjunct trainers serve as part-time training staff who operate under the Workforce Development umbrella and offer training for Goodwill clients under the GCPI and Employment program certificate programs. The Technology Trainer will work to support Goodwill technology training certifications and classes that serve the public good and include coursework such as Call Center, Call Center Supervisor, Workplace Computer Skills, and relevant workshops that support Goodwill clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as trainer for Call Center, Call Center Supervisor, Workplace Computer Skills, and relevant workshops on a part-time basis.
- Responsible for facilitation of Goodwill certificate and employment programs offered
- under OBPVS through GCPI.
- Provides training in the areas of MS Office, Google Apps, and Basic Computer skills.
- Facilitation of technology training on a rotating basis.
- Provides Roadshow training on behalf of Goodwill for the identified training areas.
- Documentation of training materials.
- Administration of training records.
- Documents completions and outcomes from training.
- Evaluate client/student performance and the ability to address concerns as needed.
- Serve on training committees as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- Associates degree preferred or 5 years or more in associated field of study.
- 3-5 years in a public speaking or teaching role.
- 2+ years in a training or supervisory role.
- 2+ years’ experience in working with MS Office 2016 or higher.
- 2+ years working with Google Suite.
- Clean driving record.
- Must have driver’s license and valid insurance.
- Ability to show credentials in areas requested to teach (certificate programs).
- Experience in job development for individuals with multiple barriers to employment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Apps, and Outlook as well as able to navigate the internet with ease.

- Must be able to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to engage a classroom and have exceptional classroom management skills.
- Must be effective at communicating vocational counseling and helping others shift behaviors toward gaining employment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in a climate controlled, office or retail environment most of the time except for when travelling to host sites.
- Low noise level.
- Travel to company locations as required.
- Works variable hours not to exceed 30 hours per week.
- Must be willing and able to work in a prison and receive security clearance to do so.
