JOB TITLE: ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Administrative Coordinator position requires a team-oriented professional to provide support services for departmental management as well as oversite of Radiology and WIC clerical staff. Services include, but are not limited to, assistance with planning, implementing, and /or evaluating utilization of departmental human, financial, and material resources with minimal supervision. It will also include learning the registration process in the WIC. The Administrative Coordinator supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Meets the organization’s expectations regarding house-wide educational and Occupational Health requirements

Assist the Director with the day-to-day operations and projects. Provides oversite of Radiology and WIC clerical staff and services involving clerical and registration duties. Assists with running metrics and mandatory reports in Cerner or any other software program necessary. Works with and coordinates meetings with external entities, personnel as well as internal staff needs for meetings. Answers phone/email messages in a prompt, timely and professional manner. Performs clerical duties to assist staff, management and patients with daily obligations and duties as well as assist with Regulatory requirements. Has a good knowledge of patient registration, payment and insurance processes.

Qualifications:
E DUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

Five or more years’ experience in an Administrative Assistant/Management support role; experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred.
High School Diploma (or equivalency) required
Typing skill of 35-40 wpm
High level of computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office preferre
Organizational skills and ability to function independently requirent

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors, and others.
Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
Ability to respond to pages overhead.
Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
Bending, lifting (maximum of 25 pounds), grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing, pulling, and squatting.
