What does Exception Management bring to Cardinal Health
Revenue Management is responsible for developing, communicating, and leading the execution of market strategy and profitability optimization through pricing and value-capture activities at both the strategic and tactical levels. The group uses modeling, analytics, and econometrics to create pricing strategies for our products and services.
As part of Revenue Management, Exception Management within the Product Pricing group, focuses on any pre- or post-deal customer and item specific price deviations from standard pricing across all product and service lines, by driving overall improvement in the speed, efficiency, and efficacy of our portfolio of exception management processes. The team continually innovates to optimize pricing outcomes for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute recurring daily, weekly, monthly product pricing processes
- Complete ad hoc product pricing evaluations
- Assist with pricing inquiries
- Work to integrate new technologies and strategies
- Utilize, review and update standard operating procedure documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
- 2+ years experience in pricing field, preferred
Prior experience desired for this role includes but is not limited to:
- Competence working efficiently with large datasets and analytics software
- Experience with pricing strategies, processes, systems and controls, customer deal economics, and financial modeling techniques
- Experience extracting, manipulating, and preparing data and information from multiple internal and external sources and leveraging it to develop insights and execute pricing strategies
- Competence using online meeting and collaboration tools such as MS Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Prior knowledge of generic pharmaceutical industry is not required, but is helpful

- Be capable of working independently with general guidance on new projects
- Act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues and always be willing to assist team members and cross train to increase knowledge sharing
- May contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Anticipated salary range: $63,200 - $94,815
