We are looking for passionate, energetic, and professional individuals for the 2020-21 school year to serve as Counselors for our Y Excel: Out of School Enrichment Program at Critzer Elementary, Dublin Elementary, Riverlawn Elementary, Pulaski Elementary Schools, and Snowville Elementary.

This is an after-school, part-time program to support families who work longer than the school day (on site at an elementary school). A site-lead will assist in providing you with curriculum and materials for each day.

The afternoon shifts available are 2:30 pm-6:15 pm. We are flexible and willing to work around school/other schedules as much as possible.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma/GED and pass background checks and mandated reporter training.
• Ability to work and interact effectively with co-workers, children, and parents.
• Provide supervision at all times for children indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment and work place including: classrooms, bathrooms, play yards, and kitchen areas.
• Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum including the coordination of physical activities/games.
• Meet all of a child’s needs: socially, emotionally, physically and cognitively.
• Fill out daily reports, make sure children are signed in/out daily, relay any information to the parents/guardian daily.
• Report any injuries to the supervisor immediately.
• Be flexible enough to go from one activity to another.
• Interact with parents about their child’s day, behavior, accomplishments, health, and growth.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
