Role Details

The product owner owns, maintains, and prioritizes the product backlog for the scrum team. They share the product vision and works closely with the Business Owner, Product Manager and Scrum Master to ensure the team delivers value to the business. This leader will work with key business and IT partners to develop strategic plans for the technologies impacting Member, Enrollments and Billing.

This individual is a self-starter; with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Strong presentation skills, analytic skills, and a passion for improving consumer experiences using technology with the responsibility of making sure solutions stitch together properly and are delivered timely.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with product managers, solution managers, business owners, user groups, and business analysts to align requirements and features to the team backlog.
Develop user stories that enables solution delivery based on feature acceptance criteria.
Assist in the technology enablement of core capabilities and value streams
Translate business flows and processes into user stories
Conduct solution reviews assessments and solution demos
Work with architects to overlay the business requirements and solution design to backlog log grooming user stories.
Work with enterprise architects and technology leads to define low level technical solution and translate into actionable user stories. Defining impacted systems and functions to capabilities in feature specific user story development.
Support teams in providing solution design clarity, inputs and perspectives
Collaborate, lead and/or participate in business, technology, operations, and architecture teams
Drive and facilitate daily stand up sessions with developments stakeholders for solving complex problems or identifying capabilities using techniques such as refinement sessions
Advise on feasibility, design, benefits and strategic fit of solution options considering story points and delivery timelines
Create and manage a scrum team’s backlog with support from the teams Product Manager
Support business process management team in design of customer journeys and business process mapping to ensure they are embedded/complemented in technology solutions
Support technology team in translating architecture solutions to technology solutions
Consume customer insights from live user research, customer-facing teams, and NPS feedback
Collaborate with designers, user researchers, data scientists, developers, and other product managers to frame problems and take ideas from ideation through implementation
Lead PI planning sessions from conception to perfection: research, ideation, refinement, development, launch, testing, and iteration.
Technical Skill Requirements
Knowledge and experience working with Health Insurance Plans
Product Owner Experience or other relevant experience
Experience using JIRA or other project management tools
Agile experience
Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)
Understanding of health plan operations, products and services, and general health plan trends and strategies
Ability to translate what the business does into a coherent and cohesive solution
Ability to lead a technology team of developers and system analyst

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 104,000 - 173,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
