Job Summary:

The Sheet Metal Mechanic needs to be proficient in mechanical stripping of paint materials on aircraft panels and surfaces; corrosion repair and mitigation of aircraft panels and structural components; modifications to and structural repair of aircraft panels and structural components. Qualified candidates will be skilled in inspecting and evaluating structural damage to aircraft sheet metal systems and preparing composite surfaces using state of the art materials, methods, procedures, and inspections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advanced knowledge of Sheet-Metal fabrication, Sheet-Metal Installation, Sheet-metal Lay-out, Sheet-metal part fabrication
• Forming complex angles and configurations, Sheet-metal Forming, drilling, stamping, shaping, bending, punching
• Sheet-metal cutting, riveting, filing and dimpling, Install Sheet-metal parts, install fabricated items on aircraft
• Read Engineering specifications, Read Blueprints
• Proficient in the use of common tools such as hammers, punches, pneumatic drill motors, rivet guns, hand sanders, high speed grinders and sanders, protractors, calipers, height, depth, dial gauges and other common pneumatic tools

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ sheet metal experience on corporate aircraft
• Bring all trade specific hand tools to this assignment
• Solid work history required (This is a long term assignment. Applicant’s with short stents of employment over the previous 2 years will not be considered)
• Must have experience in the removal of panels and skins and other aircraft components in preparation for removal and application of surface coatings Ability to read and follow technical data, blueprints, engineering drawings, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing specifications in the maintenance process.
• Must be able to utilize all requisite manufacturers’ manuals and accurately process all pertinent required paperwork, log entries, company work orders, & parts requests.
• High School Diploma or GED

Miscellaneous:

• Tool box MUST be shadowed and tools ETCHED. Candidates must report on day 1 with acceptable US Persons documentation per U.S. Export Control Compliance requirements.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $71,968.00 per year
