Ammunition Loading Operator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate automatic loading machine of ammunition (2-3 units per operator) that requires loading its components, making sure machines are operating at their capacity, distributing the finish product, doing basic maintenance, and ensuring proper operation and production.

Also, some set-up and install tooling necessary for parts production as directed by the Machining Team Leader. This involves obtaining tooling from the tool storage area, installing any of the special production machines in the prescribed manner, and adjusting produce parts within stated manufacturing tolerances.

Some quality control checks must be done using a variety of measuring instruments, i.e. micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, plug and ring gages, etc.

Assure strict adherence to company safety and health standards.

Collects, records, and maintains accurate production related information and/or data as required.

Required Skills / Experience / Equipment Operation:

Must have sufficient experience and/or training in basic machine shop practices, training will be provided for machine operations. (Experience in ammunition loading will increase possibility of hiring)

Must display and maintain a positive attitude.

Must be able to generate process data, tool lists, set-up sheets, and machine programs without assistance.

Physical/Mental Essential Functions:

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time

Ability to reach above shoulders

Ability to walk back and forth through-out facility

Ability to control operation with hand or foot

Ability to lift / carry up to 70 pounds.

Ability to turn wrist frequently in repetitive motion

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) / Veterans accepted.
