SUMMARY
This position will review daily transactions, reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, and perform month-end closing.
Compensation
$48,000-$57,000/annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily Transaction review with backup and post the entry
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Conduct research and analysis on various accounting issues with associated team
- Reconcile the remaining BS balances and follow up to clean the open balances such as Prepaid exp, Amortization Schedules and others.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies as well as accounting standards.
- Determine revenue and cost according to accrual base and prepare accruals in month end closing
- Analyze previous year revenue and cost posted in current year and manage previous year accrual balance.
- Simulate direct margin and perform P&L analysis before finalizing book and revisit worksheet or SAP data if required.
- Verify and apply new contract or any other change/update in customer/vendor contract.
- Maintain accrual aging and inform related departments to proceed with A/R and A/P invoicing in timely manner.
- Analyze billing / payable procedures or problems to improve existing process and to suggest better solutions
- Prepare P&L analysis monthly, quarterly, and yearly and comparing to business plan
- Assist in the preparation of financial audits and support audit-related activities
- Other duties as assigned

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills Required
- Outstanding problem solving, organizational, detail-oriented, and interpersonal skills Required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint Required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred
- Knowledge of SAP Preferred
- Experience with CRM Preferred
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree Required
- One (1) to Two (2) years of experience Required in Accounting, Billing, Port Operations, and Vehicle Logistics
- Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience Preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
- Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
- Ability to seldomly lift and carry min 5lbs and max 20 lbs
