The Asset Performance Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and management of internal asset performance analytics tools and their associated infrastructure, as well as performing ad hoc analysis to identify asset underperformance.
The tools on the platform address real-time and historical performance, provide underperformance alerts, and summarize relevant asset data for a variety of audiences including upper management. The asset performance analyst will collaborate closely with the Engineering team in surfacing the platform the performance analytics developed by the Engineering team. The development of the analytics tools and platform will be done in close collaboration with the IT department as well to ensure that the system and protocols are compatible with the IT strategy and guidelines of the company. The ultimate goal of the Asset Performance Analyst is to enhance the profitability of the whole portfolio of assets by identifying underperformance and offering a perspective on possible improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage the contractual ecosystem of each asset to ensure all contractual obligations are met, such as lease payments, tax payments, regulatory requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with key project partners such as PPA off-takers, landowners, local governmental bodies, lenders, etc.
- Analyze the operational performance of the assets. Identify and investigate underperformance. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to develop and implement remediation plans
- Participate in the budgeting process and financial analysis of assets
- Evaluate and manage long-term maintenance strategies for assets in the portfolio; manage maintenance contracts; monitor asset status; manage troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Produce and review operating reports to ensure production targets are met. Manage to report cycle to ensure timely, accurate reporting of financial, operational, and contractual obligations
- Perform ad hoc analysis as required to support Asset Management and Project Development teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with quantitative focus (e.g., Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics or related major)
- Master’s Degree is a plus
- 1-2 years Data Anayltics work experience
- Budgeting, forecasting, energy industry research, and team building are highly desirable
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $69,000 - $103,000 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
