Overview: Serving as a subject matter expert with the technical and software space. Focus on offering recommendations on complex issues and supporting resolution activities. Provides creative and effective solutions to problems, and is directly involved with customer support, internal Canon support, team and customer initiatives, policies or program changes to support strategic customer and/or Canon goals. - Additional responsibilities and expectations related to providing high level subject matter expertise on network, software and hardware systems of all customers as assigned. - Additional responsibilities and expectations related to providing with strategic direction based on relationships and research within the industry. Responsibilities: Site Assessment & Workflow Design (30%) - Leads and delegates on-site customer technology surveys, operational workflow analysis, workflow illustrations (floor plans, flow charts, data graphs etc.), workflow process reengineering and business case preparation. - Coordinates with project team and client resources to understand site assessment goals and expectations. - Clearly communicates and documents customer needs and recommendations to the Proposal and Pricing Teams. RFx and Proposal Design Support (30%) - Facilitates the solution design process for potential clients, ensuring designs maximize proposed technology offerings. - Conducts internet research on the client, initiatives, geographic distribution, IT priorities, and current operations to customize designs. - Compiles insightful discovery questions for the client in order to facilitate an accurate design. - Coordinates with technology specialists (NCS and 3rd party) to review and finalize technology (i.e. hardware, software) configurations required for RFx projects. Solutions Governance (20%) - Provides industry expertise and innovative solutions in a fast paced, growing environment including leading the team's innovation efforts for fleet management, technology, while establishing best practices. - Strong proficiency of Canon MFD, and associated software and third party products. - Supports department planning, development, and innovation goals by providing analysis and recommendations on emerging business/technology trends (i.e. cloud, digital office, AI, machine learning) and proposing new business models and offerings. Strategic Planning (20%) - Provide year end review of solutions and research added. - Provide strategic roadmaps for upcoming year detailing new research and solution partners. - Develop and update a solution matrix as a user guide for solutions within the EMSD portfolio. - Partner relationship development. - Create contact and vendor relationships with solutions to be utilized by the department. - Develop schedule of recurring trainings, product updates, etc. with vendors utilized by department. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience. - Exemplary team skills and competencies. - Strong communicator focused on clarity of message and responsible for the success of communications to team members and customers. - Build trusting relationships with customers and peers. - May require up to 30% travel to client sites, including overnights (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). In accordance with New York City law, we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role, if filled in New York City: $73,930 - $110,720.
