ROLE OVERVIEW
The Special Services Lead is responsible for aiding, coaching, and providing training to staff members, including new hires. They support and assist the Team, the Supervisor, and Leadership with complex inventory and issue resolution. This position is a remote role with the ability to sit within any state where LifeStance is located.

COMPENSATION: $ 22.00-25.00/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform duties as assigned in a professional demeanor, which includes interacting with insurance plans, clinics, and team members as needed
Access payer websites and discern pertinent data to resolve accounts
Document clear and concise notes in the patient accounting system regarding testing plans, authorizations cost estimates and any actions taken on an account
Maintain department daily productivity goals in completing a set number of accounts while also meeting quality standards as determined by leadership
Identify and communicate any issues including system access, payor behavior, account work-flow inconsistencies or any other issues regarding testing and special services provided by LifeStance
Triage patient and clinic account related requests and escalate them as appropriate
Assist with training, coaching, and development of staff members and to new hires, including any subsequent training needs
Assist in special projects assigned by management
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
3+ years of related experience in medical billing
Proficient in the use of MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills required
Handling of all PHI (Protected Health Information) and Patient Identifiable Data with discretion and confidentiality required
Knowledge and understanding of the Credits process, healthcare terminology and reimbursement rules, and insurance plan payment methodologies and contract terms
Clear, effective, and accurate verbal and written communication skills required
Organizational and prioritization skills
Self-discipline sufficient to work with minimal supervision required
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
