Overview
The ideal candidate for this role should be passionate about data and understand how it can be leveraged to gain insights about business trends, customers, and site performance. The insights generated will drive better execution in a variety of business areas such as promotions, assortment, innovation, local marketing, web marketing, social media, service, and loyalty. This position requires constant collaboration both within Marketing and other departments to facilitate shared learning and cross-fertilization of ideas and knowledge. In addition to supporting analytics for AN North America, this role will also be responsible for building out our analytics offering for the Anthropologie Europe and BHLDN businesses. This will require initiative and curiosity to learn about these different businesses and customers.
Responsibilities
- Identify trends in customer purchase behavior and provide recommendations on potential marketing activations to drive customer objectives.
- Track performance of customer segments and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Provide support on targeted customer activations, including opportunity-sizing, identifying optimal customer audiences, assessing performance, and reporting out on results.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders including CRM, analytics, performance marketing, and marketing channel owners on requests for data pulls, business analysis and reporting.
- Execute monthly/quarterly customer reporting, and work to improve and automate current processes.
- Use data visualization tools to ensure reports are delivered in the most impactful way.
- Analyze customer data from the in-house CRM database and deliver insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
- Support customer strategy & insights, brand marketing, email and digital marketing teams with data and customer requests and ensure they have self-service data available as well.
- Continuously work to improve processes and automation
Qualifications
- Analytical/problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong SQL skills to pull data from the CRM database are a must
- Experience with business intelligence tools (ie. Qlik, Tableau, Microstrategy) to visualize data and automate reports
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) for analyses and presentations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience in Retail a plus
Education
Bachelor’s Degree is required. Concentration in marketing, analytics, statistics, mathematics or computer science a plus.
