Job Description:

Tri-State Jet Charter is currently looking for an experienced AOG Technician with a professional demeanor and strong communication skills. Responsibilities include completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs in the field and providing timely status updates regarding repairs. This challenging position requires providing consistently exceptional service at every level. Must possess adequate knowledge of Corporate Aircraft and be familiar with the Bombardier Challenger Line of Aircraft. This position reports to the DOM and ADOM.

This is a salaried position, requires an individual who can manage their own schedule, this may include days, evenings, weekend, and holiday support.

We have two open AOG Technician positions for two separate locations:

· Teterboro,NJ/ WhitePlains NY

· West Palm Beach/Opa-Locka, Florida

Responsibilities and Duties:

· Perform AOG maintenance on corporate aviation aircraft.

· Perform maintenance on a variety of aircraft configurations.

· Perform a wide range of maintenance duties to include inspections, testing, repair, and servicing of aircraft.

· Perform maintenance IAW with FAA approved technical data and Tri State GMM guidelines.

· Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

· Maintenance shop cleanup, organization, and basic office duties.

· Accurately complete all appropriate maintenance, work order, and RTS paperwork.

· Identify (Schedule) Out-Source maintenance providers (OMP), authorized persons for accomplishment of maintenance to include accomplishing on-site audits utilizing TSC Vendor Audit forms.

  • Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with GMM requirements.
  • Planning of scheduled and coordination of unscheduled maintenance on aircraft during normal and after business hours.
  • Operate and maintain Company truck
  • Track and maintain Tri State spare parts on the truck (wheels, etc.).
  • Any additional duties as directed by supervisor and/or ownership.

Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position must hold a valid A&P certificate and have a minimum of 5 years of experience providing maintenance on Corporate Aircraft, as well as the following.

  • Strong communication skills to consistently communicate with leadership and operations with detailed Status of Aircraft in timely increments.
  • Must have a valid, state issued drivers’ license
  • Own basic tools.
  • Corporate Aircraft Experience (Particularly Bombardier Challenger Line) CRJ200/CL850 would be a plus.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.
  • Be exposed to weather conditions outside as well as non-weather conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
  • Must be willing to work flexible shifts to include nights and weekends to meet customer demand.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, continually utilize hand, and finger dexterity, climb, balance, bend or crawl, occasionally from heights in precarious places.
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds. Have the awareness that he/she will be working near and around moving mechanical parts, around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals, and exposure to loud noises.
  • Ability to be willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear.
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing repairs.
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds or more, as needed.
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and ground equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.

Non-Physical Requirements:

· Ability to learn and use technical manuals.

· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems effectively.

· Be a problem solver by effectively reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring, and illustrated parts manuals.

· Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in a clear and understandable manner with co-workers, customers, and leadership.

· Must be able to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations.

· Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers.

· Experience with Apple and Microsoft products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets.

· Able to travel to different locations, in all weather conditions, to perform repairs.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
