-location/on site requirements: this person must go to McLean or Richmond office 3x/week.
-extension/conversion potential: only looking to do Contract to Hire. Looking to convert around 6 months. If the person is really great, they could convert at a Manager level role

Project Details:
This is within Card. They are working on Core Modernization building brand new applications that work with 3rd party systems to get data.
This team has classically used Java, but they are still deciding if they want to build these new apps in Java or Go so want knowledge of both.
This is all he was willing to share.

What is the Role:
Looking for a Back End Engineer.
Want this person to know Java and ideally Go.
Must have AWS (Lambda, ECS and Fargate are their main modules).
Will be building APIs from scratch and should also be able to contribute to architecture conversations.
Need to have a good understanding of databases (Relational). They haven’t decided on a database but exploring Aurora, Postgres, NoSQL.
Any exposure to DevOps tools like Docker, etc would be nice but not required.
They don’t currently have any front-end work.

Go Exp: if someone has previous Cap One Java exp they will take them without the Go exp.

Years of Exp: 7+ will work.

Interview Process: 2 rounds over Zoom. If they could come on site that would be ideal but not required. Will do coding in the interview.
