We are currently seeking an Application Support Analyst for our Core group. The primary purpose of this position is to provide third-tier applications support for existing and new applications. The Application Support Analyst works with the service desk and IT personnel, operational analysts, developers, testers, business analysts, vendors and customers to ensure thorough analysis of incidents and business circumstances involved. The Application Support Analyst will ensure resolution of Service Desk incidents of medium and high complexity in accordance with established standards, policies, procedures, configuration guidelines and service level agreements for applications. This is an excellent opportunity within a dynamic group in our organization.

Activities include:
troubleshooting and testing to identify the possible cause of incidents

determining the appropriate course of action to resolve the issues with minimal business disruption

establish processes to ensure application availability

installing and maintaining banking applications in production, staging, test and DR environments including new releases, enhancements and upgrades. The Analyst will serve as liaison between departments and prepare necessary documentation in the support of various applications.

The ideal candidate will have prior application support engineering experience, and possess analysis, issue management, and user interface/management skills. The Application Support Analyst will be able to:

Utilize application knowledge to effectively troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve problems.

Interface with Business Units, Service Desk, Operational Analyst, Business Analyst and Development areas to ensure problem resolution.

Assist Application Support Manager in developing/revising policies and procedures for supporting new and ongoing applications.

Escalate inquiries to business partner and third-party vendor to resolve system issues and acts as a liaison until problem is resolved.

Adhere to established standards and procedures for Level 3 Application Support.

Coordinate and participate in any testing and quality checks centered on the resolution of Application Support issues.

Represent the organization as the principle customer contact and often performs project leadership role.

Interact with management and senior customer personnel on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.

Support other projects and initiatives as and when required.

Partner with vendor for the assigned application to learn from them as much as possible

Available for 24/7 On Call rotation once the assigned application is in production

Technical Experience and Qualifications:
Knowledge as a generalist or specialist of open system applications in a production environment, including the technologies supporting those applications or willing to learn.

Knowledge of open system design principles, theories, concepts and techniques.

Analysis, trouble shooting, technical and non-technical communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to meet deadlines, multi task, work well under pressure and changing environments.

Bachelors in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field or 1+ years experience with applications, systems, application development and support or other directly related experience highly preferred

A willingness to learn new technologies and an ability to come up to speed quickly.

Preferred Technology Skills Include:
Windows and Linux OS management.

Oracle / Database connectivity experience

Application Monitoring

Application Job Automation Scheduling

Data / File Transmission

Plus:
System administration experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) such as FileNet or Xnet/Content Cloud

System administration experience with Business Intelligence systems such as Business Object or Power BI

A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Location: This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
