This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques
- Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming (Java, Python, .Net, C++, etc.)
- Experience using cloud technologies such as AWS, PCF, Gaia
- Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Experience with managing application on Enterprise Cloud infrastructure providers e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry in a mission critical environment
- Strong experience in using industry standard monitoring tools e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, APICA, Splunk, ELK, FluentD, Prometheus, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog, New Relic, etc.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based technologies and tools especially in deployment, monitoring and operations, such as Kubernetes/Docker, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Prometheus, FluentD, Slack, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
- Strong working knowledge of modern development technologies and tools e.g., Agile, CI/CD, Git, Terraform and Jenkins
- Deep knowledge of Internet protocols and web services technologies e.g., HTTP, DNS, TCP/UDP, SOAP, JSON and REST
- Working knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks)
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
- Knowledge on any language like Java/Python
- Depth in understanding concepts on SRE
- Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards
