For DLH, building is a finely orchestrated collaboration between contractor, client, architect, designer, subcontractors and suppliers. Utilizing tightly coordinated schedules and overlapping subcontractor trades has enabled us to complete projects months ahead of our competitors.

Apprentices work with a carpenter and/or journeyman to develop skills and construction methods consistent with the DLH standard of quality.

This is a great opportunity to work with experienced tradesmen in a company which encourages advancement. Currently, six of our eight Superintendents have worked their way up from Apprentice Carpenter, Carpenter and Journeyman/Lead Carpenter to become Superintendents.

Responsibilities for the Position:

• Tool set-up (e.g. chop saws, table saws, etc.)
• Materials organization.
• Concrete forms (flat work).
• Basic wall and floor framing.

The Ideal Candidate Should:

• Have basic tool skills (Skilsaw, chop saws, drills, table saw, etc.) .
• Have the skills to consistently produce quality work.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.
• Be self-motivated, honest, hard-working, and should take pride in his/her work.
• Be able to reliably produce jobs to DLH standards.

Starting pay is $20 - $24 per hour depending on experience. Medical, dental, vision, 16 days paid time off and 401k benefits are also included. We are a smoke-free, drug-free company.
