Area Maintenance Manager Finished Products

Pine Hill, AL

Pay: Base Salary - USD $110,000 to $130,000

Job Overview: We are seeking an Area Maintenance Manager for the Finished Products Department. The position will report to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. The Area Maintenance Manager will manage the repair and maintenance of mill Equipment. This position is responsible for developing a team of Mechanics and Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians, made up of in-house employees and/or contract employees. This position will directly manage a team of up to 4 maintenance Front Line Leaders.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Effectively and safely execute all maintenance and other assigned projects within the area
• Direct supervisors in the performance of approved maintenance work and set standards for controlling safety, quality and cost of all work in the area
• Plan, schedule and monitor programs to improve maintenance processes, reduce costs and increase productivity
• Coordinate with operations and drive the MWS process to improve the effectiveness of maintenance services and improve overall paper machine reliability, ensuring quality customer service
• Provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance for the equipment
• Develop and drive reliability improvement processes; maintain metrics that drive the right behaviors and link directly to reliability strategy and desired business results

Qualifications:

A technical degree or related maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required. 5+ years of maintenance experience is preferred. Qualified candidates have strong leadership, communication, organization and planning skills.
