This assembly/repair role (Specialty Equipment Tech) is primarily responsible for repairing complex rehab products and equipment. You also need to enjoy providing customer service. **So if you are mechanically inclined, you don't need specialized equipment experience, we will train you! ** This includes troubleshooting for wheelchairs and other various rehab products; scooters, lifts, bath equipment, standers, and safety beds.

This position may also help fill in when needed in the field to make deliveries with a company vehicle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Makes repairs to complex rehab products and equipment.
  • May be expected to help fill in when needed in the field, or make deliveries in company vehicle, depending on assignment.
  • Evaluates patient wheelchairs and writes up patient wheelchair history, obtains accurate quotes and updates patient system with order status.
  • Collects information from patient about breakdown of equipment and helps find a solution.
  • Ensures the warehouse, shop and equipment are maintained in a clean, attractive, safe and efficient manner.
  • Delegates the repairs of outgoing rentals and incoming rental returns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • If on an assignment that may require driving, must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and be 21 years of age or older.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and feel and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
