Our Assistant Community Managers support the Community Manager to manage one or more properties within our extensive and expanding portfolio efficiently and effectively while learning and developing competencies important to the Community Manager's role. We are currently seeking to fill roles in Long Island City, Westchester and Manhattan.
Anticipated compensation range for this position is $31.25 - $36.05 per hour depending on location, plus significant incentive compensation. Full benefits packages.
Responsibilities include:
- Key in ensuring positive resident relations by responding to resident questions or feedback thoughtfully, creatively and promptly.
- Assist the Community Manager and Resident Manager with move-in/move-outs, vendor management and commercial tenants.
- Partner with the Leasing team on new/renewal leases and ensuring all leases are recorded accurately in property management system.
- Review/process accounts payable, file applicable compliance documents, and generally support the site management office.
- Assist the Community Manager with budget forecasting, as well as building-related events or emergencies.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
- 1-3 years proven track record with increasing responsibility in property management, leasing or real estate.
- Ability to juggle multiple competing demands while maintaining sense of humor!
- Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, real estate or finance, or equivalent experience in property management.
- Experience as a leasing agent/representative a plus.
- Possess a NY and/or NJ Real Estate sales person license. If unlicensed, the willingness to obtain a state Real Estate Salesperson license within 90 days of employment with Company support
- Able to effectively deal with a range of people and personalities. Hospitality/hotel experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of building systems and/or a desire to learn more about the same. Hands-on experience very advantageous.
- Experience with Property Management Software, e.g., MRI and/or Yardi.
- Resilience.
- Emotional Intelligence - possessing it and the ability to identify it in others.
- Willingness to work hard for rewarding results.
Qualifications:
- All candidates are required to hold a valid NYS real estate license or be able to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment. (Costs for obtaining new licensing is reimbursable).
- All active license holders must register their license with Rose Associates upon hire.
- Weekends are required. Leasing offices are open every Saturday and Sunday.
