Assistant Director of Energy

Community Action Inc., is seeking an Assistant Director of Energy. The Assistant Director will support the Energy Director in the daily functions of the Energy programs. The Assistant Director will work with the Energy Director to manage all program operations, provide supervision to employees and contractors, responsible for record keeping along with State, local and funding source monthly and annual reporting. Will be responsible for understanding utility funding, bid process and all heating repair and replacement program guidelines are followed. Responsible for maintaining current contractor relations and will conduct outreach to attract new contractors.

BA/BS degree and five years’ experience in an energy/energy efficiency related position required, or 5-7 years of related experience in energy efficiency programs. Must have knowledge of energy computer programs (eAssist, Monday, InDemand, etc.), and best practices in State of Massachusetts, proven leadership, supervisory and administrative experience related to the energy programs (LIHEAP, LIHWAP, WAP, H'WAP and AMP). Must be proficient in various software applications Microsoft Office suite, digital documents, files, online application platforms, etc. Must have the ability to establish professional working relationships with CAI staff across CAI programs, government agencies, utility companies, local media, community leaders, contractors and vendors, and Community Action Agencies across the state who operate as lead vendors. Ability to work effectively with and to assist people from a diverse range of backgrounds, cultures, and identities, including underserved communities that make up CAI’s clientele.

Experience in human services, HVAC and/or Air Source Heat Pump preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. The position is 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Salary $40.79/hr.

The position will remain open until filled.
