This position directs the daily operations of the assigned areas of Financial Aid and supervises assigned staff within those areas to ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered to internal and external customers. This position will oversee and coordinate all program procedures, activities and functions related to college Work Study programs. This position administers all programs in accordance with established Federal and State compliance requirements inclusive of Title IV regulations. Develop working relationships with internal and external partners, college staff, and faculty ensuring respect, teamwork, and support. Acts as the Director of Financial Aid in his/her absence.

Staff Duration: Full Time 12 months
- Oversees the daily office activities and monitors work progress and productivity of staff. Plans and coordinates staff schedules in order to assure sufficient coverage for hours of operation. Fully responsible for the service excellence provided to students, their families and the community.
- Performs personnel administrative functions (e.g. hiring, interviewing, evaluating, supervising, training, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and achieving objectives of the Financial Aid office.
- Assists with the management of the operations of the Financial Aid office, maintenance of services, and implementation of new programs and/or processes (e.g. financial aid intake, eligibility determination, verification, award process, delivery system, etc.) for the purpose of providing services within established timeframes and in compliance with related requirements.
- Oversees administration of Federal Work-Study program, including monitoring expenditures, development and maintenance of budgets, databases and other record-keeping systems.
- Serves as the lead Financial Aid administrator for the coordination and delivery of the Pathways program in area high schools including delivery of presentations to potential students about available programs and the application process.
- Acts as the Secondary Destination Point Administrator (DPA) for Federal Systems (e.g. SAIG Enrollment, Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), NSLDS, FAA Access, TFA tokens, etc.) for the purpose of assigning user access levels to ensure secure access to Federal Student Aid systems.
- Assists with the management of assigned program and/or departmental responsibilities (e.g. student aid programs, student employment programs, Direct Loan programs, application process, default prevention efforts, disbursements, annual audit, outreach activities, etc.) for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives, and ensuring compliance with legal, financial and College requirements.
- Compiles data from a wide variety of sources for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with organization policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components.
- Collaborate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of institutional and department procedures based on federal and state regulations, guidelines, and professional literature to minimize exposure to risks. Lead annual effort to review and revise departmental procedures and guides staff training.
- Related projects and duties as assigned.
2. Four years of financial aid administration experience in higher education.
3. Two years of supervisory experience with accountability for individual and team results.
4. Exceptional customer service skills and thorough knowledge and understanding of the State and Federal laws, rules regulations and activities of agencies governing student loans, grants and other forms of student financial aid.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, a student database platform (such as: Ellucian's Colleague or Banner), and an electronic financial aid system requiring the ability to prepare detailed reports and documents and deliver basic training on required systems.
