Absolut Center is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position.


The right candidate should have the ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately interact with residents, families, and other facility staff. They would be a positive team player and take the initiative to help lead our clinically complex facility & team to new heights.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Responsibilities:

  • Assist in directing all operations of the Nursing Department including compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Work to improve the quality of patient care and services being delivered.
  • Oversee and mentor the nursing team to ensure quality customer service.
  • Monitor and audit care being administered by staff.
  • Ensure nursing services meet the needs of all residents.

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with current, unencumbered New York State license.
  • Extensive knowledge of long term care operations and state and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage a large and diverse workforce.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, families, regulators and the community.
  • At least two years of experience in a nursing leadership position in long term care.
  • Excellent communication skills.
