Duties and Responsibilities:

ADMINISTRATIVE
 Supervises and delegates job duties for subordinate personnel, project and service contractors in the maintenance, upkeep, repair, and upgrading of all facilities and grounds.
 Supervises all Campus Operations Coordinators/Administrative Coordinators assigned to the department, ensuring that these individuals are trained and properly executing their assigned duties and responsibilities, including all facility scheduling, building services and access control items.
 Oversee the purchasing and requisitioning of needed inventories of supplies, materials, and equipment, approving purchasing requests up to approved limits.
 Reviews and evaluates subordinate personnel performance.
 Prepares facility related information and reports for justifications for all expenditures and labor.
 Reviews and evaluates contractors and vendor performance for justification of expenditures and labor cost.
 Assists in preparation, review, and recommendations for the annual budget of the department.
 Conducts vendor/contractor meetings for facility related problems, issues, and concerns as needed.
 Identifies to the Director any departmental management, maintenance, repair, and renovation issues that may require significant staffing or monetary allocations. Includes recommendations for contractor and RFP issues.
 Serves as necessary on internal committees and acts as a consultant to other internal committees for facility related matters.
OPERATIONAL
 Implement training and safety programs for all subordinate personnel, including contractors and vendors.
 Advises on and/or responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
 Assists the Office of Safety and Security with the coordination, response and the reporting of all incidents, accidents, and emergencies, as well as the coordination of any drills/training required to ensure preparedness for those events.
 Assists in preparation and review of construction/maintenance documents and expenditures for contracts, projects, and RFP's with other state agencies, directors, architects, project managers, contractors, and contract engineers.
 Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of business services provided to the college.
 Perform other related duties as assigned.


Required Education:

Associate Degree OR four (4) years of related work experience


Required Experience:

Seven years in the building construction trades, building maintenance, or repair of mechanical equipment OR
Five years of supervisory experience in these professions.


Required Licenses or Certifications:

Valid, unencumbered driver's license


Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent course work in construction management, construction technology, engineering, or any combination of these courses.


Passing pre-employment criminal background and drug screen are required as a condition of employment.
