The responsibility of the Assistant Director is to assist the Director with running and managing the center.

When the center is short-staffed, the Assistant Director will be expected to help out in the classrooms as necessary.

Additional duties are listed below:

• Help develop and manage the operations of the daycare program
• Ensure optimal child care environments by overseeing staffing and daily operations
• Help maintain strict compliance with all health and safety regulations
• Help develop and implement quality improvement plans
• Help develop and implement training programs for staff
• Help maintain accreditation status
• Maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for all daycare students Provide general administrative support
• Help sanitize and maintain equipment and facilities
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for children
• Help out and serve in the classroom as necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No nights
• No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cocoa, FL 32926: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Teaching (Preferred)
• Assistant directors /directors (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
