This is a Full -Time scheduled Monday - Friday 9a -6p with some flexibility. The pay is $12 -13 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. This role is onsite at our center located: 209 W Oak Ridge Rd, Orlando, FL 32809
Our Assistant Infant Teachers support the Teachers and Director by building a positive and safe learning environment for children, promoting activities that improve the quality of education and childcare, and assisting with the development and implementation of curriculum. The Assistant Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. The Teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to be a leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, provide fun-filled learning opportunities, and make a positive impact on the lives of children 6 weeks old to 12 months old while activating a quality, nurturing educational program and foster meaningful, lasting relationships with children and their parents.

What You’ll Do:
- Create developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the direction of the Teacher and the Director
- Assist in the implementation of curriculum activities and encourage participation by children
- Actively engage in activities and lead all aspects of cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials
- Maintain frequent communications with lead teacher and administration through informal discussions
- Promote self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling
- Ensure smooth, daily transition from home to childcare center
- Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
- Ensure all Center policies and state regulations are met
What We Need from You:
- High School Diploma and/or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Must clear full level II DCF background check and pass health screening
- Completed 45 hours preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Prior experience with Infants
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
- Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
- Effective in communicating with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide teacher assistants, and resolve parental concerns
