About us

The New Hope-Solebury School District is a K through 12 public school district located in New Hope, Pennsylvania.

The District is seeking a part time (5.75 hours per day) Assistant Lead Food Service Worker to support and assist the lead food service worker in providing lunches to our students in the school cafeterias. This is a 10 month position (school year only).

Responsibilities include:

• Assist in all facets of food preparation according to the day's menu.
• Prepare food counts and serve students and faculty in a courteous, professional manner following correct portion size.
• Perform food service worker/cashier duties as needed.
• Safe operations of all cafeteria equipment.
• Oversee food and supply ordering to ensure proper rotation and waste reduction.
• Assist in the training of cafeteria workers/cashiers in proper and safe performance of their jobs.
• Maintain current ServeSafe Certification and Bucks County Department of Health Certification
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for this position include:

• Prior food service experience
• Customer service experience preferred
• Must be able to acquire clearances (FBI, child abuse, criminal background) in accordance with PA Department of Education requirements.

Job Type: Part-time
