Looking to work close to home and for a job on the bus line? Look no further, a Grand Rapids company is looking for Assistant Operator's to join their team.

2nd Shift: 2:45PM-11:00PM

3rd Shift: 10:45-7:00AM

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Set-up and operate converting lines.
• Reviews order specifications to ensure the packaging supplies and raw materials are available to produce a product that meets the customer's specifications.
• Observes and checks finished goods coming off the production lines and takes immediate corrective action if needed.
• Monitors equipment to ensure it is operating properly.
• Under shift supervisor oversight performs routine troubleshooting and operator-level maintenance on equipment.
• Complete daily production paperwork and troubleshoot stoppages and breakdowns.
• Under the direction of the shift supervisor may train team members operating procedures, safety, and quality policy procedures.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement in the Converting Department and assist’s Supervisors, who are responsible for hands-on training.
• Learn and comprehend all equipment so adjustments can be made if/when needed.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Attentive to detail and alert always to ensure safety.
• Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must have basic reading & writing skills to read labels, literature, policy manuals etc.
• Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
• Must wear all proper PPE
• Available to work overtime as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
