The Assistant Project Director provides oversight to the Admissions Department for the Job Corps program under the supervision of the Project Director. This position aids the Project Director in various areas.

This position coordinates outreach and admissions functions, quality control of applicant files, programs, activities, and related events in compliance with applicable regulations, policies, requirements, and mandates. This position is responsible for delivering quality Job Corps outreach and admissions services and support within an assigned geographical area in compliance with U. S. Department of Labor (DOL), Jackson Pierce Public Affairs, Inc

  • Providing all applicants with accurate information about Job Corps, including (as a minimum) the process for eligibility determination, selection, and assignment of eligible applicants for enrollment; privacy rights and equal employment opportunity information, reasonable accommodation information, and that enrollment in Job Corps is voluntary for everyone.
  • Assessing and verifying applicant eligibility and other factors for student selection and enrollment. Notifications must be made to all applicants of their eligibility determination.
  • Supervise Admissions Advisers in conducting pre-enrollment, pre-departure, and departure activities in accordance with PRH, corporate, and project guidelines to ensure all enrollees arrive at the assigned center as scheduled, and that each new arrival knows what to expect upon arrival and enrollment at the center.
  • Supervise staff in account for, distribute, and manage all student transportation tickets in accordance with DOL, corporate, and project policies and procedures
  • Recommend and assist (as necessary) with outreach, marketing, and media activities to ensure a positive public image, strong community and employer partnerships, a pool of eligible committed applicants, and full utilization of the Job Corps training opportunities.
  • Manager and Supervise prescribed quantitative and qualitative performance goals weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, and annually.

Education, Training, or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a social or behavioral science, human resources management, or business discipline; masters preferred.
  • Three years leadership and management experience.
  • Strong, demonstrated administrative and organizational knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Significant interpersonal, communicative and engaging skills and abilities. Experience in counseling, marketing, or education are plus.
  • Demonstrated skills and abilities to coordinate, collaborate, and engage a diverse community and population.
  • Significant computer, telecommunications, and virtual technologies experience, including laptop/notebook, desktop/PC, personal digitized and wireless devices, and a variety of software applications including databases, spreadsheets, Microsoft Suite programs.
  • A valid driver’s license in the state of assignment, and clear driving record (no major citations within past 3 years)

This position is a hybrid position: work is remote with the exception of certain requirements for in-person meetings as necessary to perform the job. The candidate for this position must be located in near Moses Lake, WA.
