Assistant Property Manager
Job Description

Gilbert Real Estate is looking for a dependable, well-rounded person to perform routine office and leasing tasks associated with residential and commercial property management. We specialize in family and student rentals and primarily serve the Radford University community and local renters in the New River Valley.

Duties:

· Relay messages between tenants and owner/maintenance team

· Accounts receivable

· Oversee time sheets

· Update empty and rented unit reports each week

· Oversee application process

· Distribute mail and oversee email

· Inspect ground, empty units, occupied units as needed

· Update social media

· Oversee late letters and send 5 day pay or quits as needed

· Send appropriate correspondence to tenants

· Create/send leases/renewals for regular and income-assisted households

· Prepare for upcoming move ins (organize maintenance, cleaning, keys, tenant information, etc.)

· Oversee parking information

· Contact contractors

· Order supplies

· Any other projects that may be assigned by the Owner/Manager

Requirements

· Experience working with multi-family housing properties

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Calendar, Social Media

· 2 years in experience or Associates Degree in Property Management, Business Administration, or equivalent field required

· Must work well under supervision and with a diverse team

· Valid driver’s license

· Background check required

· Must be willing to submit to random drug testing

Preferred Skills

· Time management, multi-tasker, prioritization skills, punctual, friendly, self-reliant, go-getter, organizational skills, and experience working with Section 8 and Rural Development properties

Hours

Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
