New River Valley Pizza LLC. is seeking some faces to join our “GMIT” or General Manager in Training program. Here, you will learn all the necessary skills to make you a successful General Manager, where you can operate your very own store!

Position Summary:
The “General Manager in Training” is responsible for developing the skills to handle overall execution of store operations. This includes, but isn’t limited to –
- Maintain high standards of product quality, service, and image.
- Enforce all health and safety policies - in addition to Domino’s Operating Standards
- Ensure an efficient and profitable operation.
- Maintain store staffing levels – strive for optimal utilization of staff and resources.
Position Details:
- Reports to: Area Supervisor
- Supervises: Assistant Managers and Store Team
- Hour requirement: 45-50 hours per weekBonus Eligible

Benefits
Compensation for a GMIT is up to $15.25 per hour, with bonus eligibility up to $400 per month based on store performance and profitability metrics.
General Managers could between $45-$75k per year, depending on store volume and performance. *More details on compensation can be provided upon request.
During the training process, a GMIT would learn how to complete all of the following.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
This is not all-encompassing, but a general summary of key functions a General Manager will be expected to perform.
- Develop and execute operating goals for the store.Period and Quarterly
- Daily store operations:Ensure store maintains proper staffing levels each day.
GMs are responsible for working 45-50 hours of impactful shifts, that benefit the store’s peak hours, and meet the store’s scheduling needs.GMIT’s generally work around 40 hours per week.
All management team members lead the team from the “front lines” which means proficiency in all aspects of store operations is essential, including making pizzas, tending the oven, routing deliveries, helping customers, etc.
Interact with customers and establish positive customer relations.Ensure all inquiries and complaints are handled appropriately.
- Analyze overall store results and adjust.
- Maintain proper store paperwork practices.
- Food CostAnalyze waste and find opportunities for savings
- Inventory ManagementManage inventory levels
Take appropriate measures to ensure that the store doesn’t run out of anything essential
Accurate truck orders, placed on time
- Labor CostCreate a schedule that optimizes available team members, utilizing the resources provided.
Meet labor goals.
Do not exceed hours allotted to schedule
- Cash ManagementEnsure drawers balance daily
Coach TM’s on proper cash management procedures
- Maintain health and safety practicesHealth Dept. regulations
FSE requirements
- Maintain Domino’s Operating Standards
- Product, Service, ImageEnsure all TM’s have the proper training to deliver product made to standard
Ensure Load & Go is being executed successfully on each shift, and that proper staffing levels are maintained to deliver excellent service (while still meeting labor goals)
Ensure all TM’s are in 100% proper uniform each shift.
Ensure the store cleanliness and physical plant meet image standards.

Ensure that the schedule is created on time each weekEnsure that employees scheduling needs are met
Ensure that hours needed to schedule are not exceeded
- Team Member Management
Communicate effectively with Assistant Managers and store teamGoals
Coach on standards and expectations
Training and development of staff
Assistant Manager developmentComplete AM evaluations thoroughly and on time.
Discuss training and development needs with Assistant Manager and Area Supervisor.
Complete and present any Team Member disciplinary actions in a timely fashion
- Misc.:Communicate any maintenance needs for equipment or building repairs
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Operate all equipment.
· Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
· Prepare product.
· Receive and process telephone orders.
· Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
· Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
· Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
· Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
· Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
· Essential Functions/Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
· Must be able to make correct monetary change.
· Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
· Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed.
· Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36 degrees in cooler to 90 degrees and above in some work areas. Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside. Fumes from food odors. Exposure to cornmeal dust. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 degrees or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
