Overview of Assistant Store Manager, Retail Operations Role

As a west elm Assistant Store Manager of Operations, you will drive incremental sales volume and ensuring profitability through effective management of in-store order fulfillment via Omni channels. You will support the management team in achieving goals by providing world class service. Serve as a role model for building relationships with guests. You will maintain presence in our showroom floor through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage, as well as coverage in the stock room.

Responsbilities:

**Lead customer fulfillment across all channels, leveraging all services, and supporting the design team in stock checks

**Identify, execute and maintain shipping. Shipment coming in, processing boxes in a timely manner, organizing furniture. At times, can be very physically demanding.

**Ensure stockroom organization and supplies to maximize efficiency safety and productivity to support sales floor replenishment and Omni fulfillment

**Perform regular audits and daily reconciliations (UPS, DIAR, Markdown audit report) and establishes daily disciplines to eliminate shrink (lost cartons, mis-picks, MOS, online returns, RTVs)

**Champions all safety best practices. Maintains and executes all safety binder requirements: hold monthly safety meetings, ensuring tools and resources (ladders, box cutters, etc) are in working condition, and ensures all associates have completed requirement monthly, quarterly training

**Create and ensure a positive work environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity in accordance to our People First Philosphy, as well as uphold Policy and Procedures in the workplace

Criteria:

**Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills

**Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner

**Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and appropriately manage competing priorities

**Ability to independently lead self and others to achieve results

**2 - 3 years of previous retail management experience required in a customer service related field. Omni channel, stockroom fulfillment experience a plus

Requirements:

**Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for an extended period of time

**Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large furniture items, up to 75lbs while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques

**Full-Time assoicates are expected to have open availability, weekends are a requirement for this position

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour
