Job description
Boutique Law Firm specializing in tax, estates and guardianship litigation is seeking a new part-full time attorney. Experience in handling litigation, and an LLM in tax is preferred. Candidate must be admitted to practice law in the State of New York.
Responsibilities:
- Draft legal documents and correspondence, file papers in ongoing litigations in supreme court, surrogates court and housing court
- Research applicable laws and precedents and apply these to particular situations.
- Conduct legal research, specializing in taxation on state and federal levels
- Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as needed
- Represent clients in negotiations and disputes with other parties.
- Negotiate with IRS auditors on behalf of clients
Experience with tax and litigation preferred.
Salary is open to negotiation and dependent on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
