Job Summary

Established, Sarasota, Florida Law Firm seeks a Florida Workers’ Compensation attorney to handle growing needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a driving passion to serve clients with a professional and compassionate approach. Our attorneys have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to promptly handle all clients’ needs, providing personal attention at every stage. This position is open to attorneys with experience from defense firms and to attorneys with experience from claimant’s firms.

The position requires all aspects of case management including, but not limited to, frequent client contact, attendance at administrative hearings, participation in medical depositions, as well as legal research and writing. Our Attorneys are expected to establish priorities, work independently and as a team, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

Essential functions

· Draft pleadings, motions, responses

· Communication with counsel

· Communication with clients

· Participation in Discovery

· Participation in mediation(s)

· Attend hearings

· Participation in medical depositions

· Conduct legal research

· Draft appeals, rebuttals, memorandum of law, briefs, and other legal documents

Required Education and Qualifications

· Must be admitted to the FL State Bar

· Strong oral advocacy, writing and analytical skills

· Handle high case load and fast pace

Preferred Experience

· Florida Workers’ Compensation experience

· Litigation

· Knowledge and Experience with the Rules of Evidence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
