Our St. Francis hospital is seeking an Athletic Trainer. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills where you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
Works under the administrative direction of the Director of Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.
Provides patients/athletes care consisting of assessments, treatment, conditioning and prevention as indicated by individual needs and consistent with the standards of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, and the policies and regulations of the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts. Acts as a liaison between athlete, legal guardian, coach, physician and rehabilitative professional, and is responsible to coordinate delivery of services for individual school age / university athletes between field, physician's office and rehab clinic. Promotes wellness of athletes in the community by conducting outreach & marketing activities.

  • PRN or regular part time hours available. Serving high school and middle school athletes in Topeka and surround areas.
  • Duties include school training room visits and sporting event coverage.
  • School visit days and times can be flexible each week.
  • Game times / dates vary by season.
  • Middle school training room visits and game coverage
  • Pre-employment work screenings in outpatient rehab department
  • Sports performance / personal training in outpatient rehab department
  • As needed for high school games to cover absences of other fulltime trainers or provide additional support for larger events
Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Certified by National Athletic Trainers’ Association.(certified by NATA)
  • Licensed by Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
  • BLS certified
