Alpha Structural is a rapidly expanding design/build firm expert in residential and commercial foundation repairs, structural repairs, hillside stabilization and retaining walls. Candidates who want a long-term career opportunity and who take personal pride in their work are invited to apply.

As a Drafter you will be creating an array of scopes of work and creating details in concrete, rebar, wood, and steel using industry standards. There will be site visits each week for as-builts which require basic surveying of the existing property and conditions to retrieve all necessary dimensions in order to draft the plans. Some examples of these types of projects would include soft-story seismic retrofits, retaining walls, commercial retrofits, & new decks.

Ideally you have experience in framing and reinforced concrete design of residential, multi-family and commercial structures.
Candidates with Geotechnical backgrounds are also welcomed.

Job duties consists of:

• Site visits
• Structural observations
• Drafting new plans and addressing corrections
• Communicating with and updating clients
• Daily coordination with our in-house engineering team
• Will interface with structural engineers, soils engineers, City Building and Grading plan checkers, clients, etc. Experience in permit expediting is a plus.

Qualifications are:

• Experience in 2D AutoCAD structural drafting
• Full fluency in English is a must
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to complete tasks promptly

This job will require driving to various sites -- must have valid driver's license and own transportation.
