Shift: Grave

As an Automation Technician 2, you will be responsible for maintaining, installing and troubleshooting all plant instrumentation and other control systems. You will apply knowledge and understanding of programming and troubleshooting plant controls processes and the equipment used to control those processes.You will make recommendations to improve the control of the processes or the processes themselves.Supports the maintenance of plant equipment to ensure a minimum of downtime.

What You Will Do

Technical:

• Generate programming changes for PLCs
• Create simple programs for programmable logic controllers; installs and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers
• Navigate the programs to troubleshoot process upsets

Mechanical:

• Lead machinery trouble-shooting; documents repairs made
• Replace or repairs defective parts
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for barrel processing equipment, bottling line equipment, and filtration equipment
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting services for plant equipment
• Disassemble malfunctioning equipment; examines and tests mechanisms on large and small pieces of machinery

What You Need

• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of experience working with
• PLC controls, logic circuits, pneumatic and electrical equipment.
• Required to fluently read, write, and comprehend the English language.
• Climb stairs and ladders; comfortable working at heights.
• Skilled in the use of programmable logic controllers (preferably Allen Bradley).
• Knowledge of variable frequency drives.
• Skilled in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short
• correspondence and memos.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers..
• Available for 24-hour on-call shifts, swing and graveyard shifts.

What Will Set You Apart

• College level courses in electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience completing the required paperwork associated with instrumentation duties.

Compensation

• Hiring Salary Range Posted: $31.39 - $42.36
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
